Hi, I'm Sabrina. I'm the person behind Wisdom and Wings, and I'm also, honestly, the target customer.
I turned 50 not too long ago, and it kind of hit me all at once how much women go through in this stretch of life. It's almost a whole new chapter nobody warns you about. Kids leaving for college. Becoming a grandma for the first time. Retiring after decades of showing up for a career. And somewhere in the middle of all of it, menopause, which nobody wants to talk about but everybody's living through.
Some of those moments get a little bit of a celebration. Retirement, maybe, if you're lucky and someone remembers to throw a party. But most of it just… happens. Quietly. And the products that exist for these transitions often don't feel like they actually get it. A generic mug. A card that could apply to anyone. A gift that checks a box without saying anything true.
I wanted to make something different.
I've been on Etsy for years now, first with a couple of other shops where I hand-painted tumblers, personalized apparel, and custom keepsakes for thousands of happy customers (5-star reviews, repeat buyers, the whole thing). Wisdom and Wings is where I brought that experience together with what I care about most right now: helping women recognize these life transitions as real, and celebrate them instead of just quietly living through them.

Print-on-demand — mugs, apparel, drinkware, and ornaments, often personalized and sometimes very funny. If you've ever wanted a sweatshirt that says "Retired. Not Expired." or a mug that says something a little sassy about hot flashes, this is where that lives.
Hand-painted — one-of-a-kind or small-batch pieces, totes and keepsakes, where the handmade quality actually matters. These are the ones I make slowly, on purpose.
Why personalization matters so much to me
If you've shopped with me before, you know I love a good personalized piece. A "Grandma's Garden" shirt with your actual grandkids' names and birth flowers on it means something different than a generic "Grandma" shirt off a shelf. A blanket made for someone's 50th anniversary, with their actual story in it, is a keepsake. A photo pillow with your grandkids' faces on it is priceless in a way a store-bought throw pillow never will be.
That specificity, your names, your dates, your people, isn't an upgrade I tack on. It's the whole point.
A word on the humor
Some of what I make is sentimental. Some of it is funny, especially the menopause and empty-nest stuff, because let's be honest, sometimes you just need to laugh at the absurdity of it all. But I never want it to feel mean, or like it's punching down, or like it's making fun of you for getting older. It should feel like an inside joke between friends who are going through the same thing. If it doesn't feel that way, I haven't done my job.
